Thank you for your interest in taking a Summer Term class with A2 Virtual+.

Registration for the summer will open May 1st at 9 a.m. 

Registration will close June 26 at 4 p.m.

Summer Term Registration Steps

Before you begin: Summer Term registration is completed through MyPaymentsPlus

Step 1

Sign In or Create a MyPaymentsPlus Account

  1. Go to MyPaymentsPlus.
  2. Sign in to your account.
  3. If you do not have an account, select “Register Now.”

Need to add your student to your account?

  1. Log in to your MyPaymentsPlus account.
  2. From the left menu, select “My Account.”
  3. Select “Manage Accounts.”
  4. Select the blue “Add Account” button in the upper right.
  5. Enter your student’s ID number to link the student to your account.

Important Account Setup Information

  • You will need your student’s ID number to register and process payment correctly.
  • If your student previously attended AAPS and is returning, use the same ID number originally assigned to that student.
  • If your student is new to AAPS and has not yet been assigned an ID number, please register as a guest.
  • If your student is an out-of-district student, please register as a guest.
Step 2

Select Your Student and Choose the Correct Course

  1. In the left-side menu, select “Events and Activities.”
  2. Click on your student’s name.
  3. Select the correct Summer Term course option.

For A2 Virtual+ Classes

Select the exact class name for the course you want.

Example: (A2V+) BIOLOGY A for A2 Virtual+ (Summer Term)

 

For Michigan Virtual Classes

First select:

(MV A2V+) Michigan Virtual Class through A2 Virtual+ (Summer Term)

Then choose the specific course from the dropdown menu.

Choose A2V+ and class name or Michigan Virtual. Out-of-district students also pay additional fee.

 

Important for Michigan Virtual Registration

Do not create your own Michigan Virtual account. If you are taking a Michigan Virtual class through A2 Virtual+, A2 Virtual+ will create the student’s account and handle enrollment.

If a course is purchased directly through Michigan Virtual, this will delay enrollment, and A2 Virtual+ cannot issue a refund for that purchase.

Step 3

Complete Any Additional Fees or Forms

Out-of-District Students

  • You must pay the additional $30 out-of-district fee.
  • You must also complete the required out-of-district form that accompanies the fee.
  • Listed as (OoD A2V+) Out-of-District Fee for A2 Virtual+ (Summer Term)
Step 4

Register for Additional Courses, If Needed

If registering for more than one class, repeat the previous steps for each additional course.

Class Load Guidance

  • Students may register for up to 2 online classes during the summer.
  • Because Summer Term moves very quickly, we do not recommend taking more than 1 class.
Step 5

Review Your Cart and Check Out

  1. Once all classes and any additional fees are in your cart, select the cart icon in the top right.
  2. Review your items carefully.
  3. Complete checkout to submit payment.

Important Deadlines and Policies

Add/Drop Deadlines

  • Michigan Virtual classes: The deadline to add or drop is 4 days from the student’s enrollment date.
  • All Summer Term classes: The final deadline to add or drop any class is Friday, June 26.

After the add/drop deadline, students will not receive a refund for their class.

All summer classes will appear on a student’s academic transcript after the add/drop deadline has passed.

Course Availability and Waitlists

  • Enrollment depends on available staffing.
  • Some courses may not have enough enrollment to run.
  • If a class does not run, A2 Virtual+ will contact families by Wednesday of the first week of the term to discuss another class or a refund.
  • Some courses may fill before the start of the term.
  • If a course is full, students may choose to join the waitlist.
  • If space does not become available, refunds will begin to be issued on the add/drop deadline.

Important Summer Pace Reminder

Summer Term courses move quickly and require a significant time commitment. Students are completing a full 18-week class in a much shorter period of time. Plan carefully and start on time.

If students are planning to take both halves of a year-long class (for example, Biology A and Biology B), students must complete the first class by the halfway point of the summer term. 

  • Student will register for both halves of the class initially.
  • If students are not finished with the first course by the halfway point on July 10th, a refund will be issued for the second class.
    • Please note: Michigan Virtual classes cannot be refunded once enrollment has been processed and the four-day drop window has passed. If students choose to take two MV classes, they will both begin on May 15th.  
  • The second class must be completed by the last day of the Summer Term, July 24th.
  • A reminder that no extensions will be granted for the Summer Term.

What Happens After Registration?

Processing Time

  • Please allow up to 48 hours (Monday-Friday) to process new registrations.
  • Please allow an additional 24 hours for the class to appear after processing.
  • Students will not be able to access their Summer Term class until the first day of Summer Term.
    • A2 Virtual+ Classes: Monday, June 22
    • Michigan Virtual Classes: Friday, May 15
Students who register before the start of the Summer Term will gain access to their class on the first day of the term. (You will only be contacted by an A2 Virtual+ staff member if there are questions or issues with your registration.) Students will see their class information in Schoology starting on Monday, June 22. (For Michigan Virtual classes, the start of the term is May 15.)
 
If a student registers immediately before or after the start of Summer Term, it may take up to 72 hours for the class to appear in Schoology or the Student Learning Portal.

A2 Virtual+ Courses

  • Available starting on the first day of the term: Monday, June 22
  • Students should log in to Schoology
  • Students must complete the required orientation

Michigan Virtual Courses

A2 Virtual+ will:

  • Create the student’s Michigan Virtual account
  • Handle enrollment

Do NOT create your own Michigan Virtual account.

This will delay enrollment, and A2 Virtual+ cannot issue a refund if the course is purchased directly through Michigan Virtual.

Final Reminders

  • Students taking Summer Term courses must complete all required coursework by the end of the term.
  • All summer classes taken through A2 Virtual+ require two in-person proctored assessments per course.
    • This includes Michigan Virtual classes taken through A2V+.
  • Students will receive course information and orientation details when courses open the first day of the Summer Term.
  • A2 Virtual+ staff will only reach out after registration if there is a problem or question related to the registration.

How do I drop a class after registering?

To drop a summer term class, families must complete the A2 Virtual+ Drop/Withdraw Request Form.

The deadline to drop an A2 Virtual+ class is Friday, June 26th at 4 p.m.

The deadline to drop a Michigan Virtual class is four days after the initial enrollment. 

Once the form is submitted, please allow up to two business days for A2 Virtual+ staff to process the request.

If a refund is available, it will be returned to the original payment method. Refunds typically appear within 7–10 business days after the request has been processed.
