5th Grade Math Acceleration Option
Middle School Math for 5th Graders
The A2 Virtual+ Middle School Math for 5th Graders program allows eligible fifth-grade students to accelerate their mathematics pathway by enrolling in Online Math 6 instead of the Math 5 course offered in their elementary school.
Program Overview
Through this program, students participate in the A2 Virtual+ Middle School Math Acceleration Program and complete Online Math 6 coursework.
Students who successfully complete Online Math 6 will earn credit for Math 6 and will be prepared to enroll in Math 7 during sixth grade.
Eligibility Requirements
Because students are accelerating one full year in mathematics, fifth-grade students must meet specific entrance requirements before participating in this program.
Students Entering in Sixth Grade
Students who do not meet the fifth-grade entrance requirements may still participate in the Middle School Math Acceleration Program beginning in sixth grade.
There are no entrance requirements for students entering the program as sixth graders.
