Jennifer Barcelata
Señora Barcelata
I studied at La Universidad de Autónoma in Querétaro, México, graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 2002 and began teaching 1st grade in a bilingual classroom in Phoenix, Arizona. I moved back to Michigan, and in 2007, I started my career with Ann Arbor Public Schools at Pioneer High School, teaching Spanish. I received my master’s at Marygrove College in the MAT (Master in the Art of Teaching) program in 2011.
During my time with Ann Arbor Public Schools, I have taught K-12 Spanish as well as 5th grade at Pittsfield Elementary School. As well as teaching at A2V, I teach in person at STEAM at Northside.
My teaching ideology is about self-exploration through the study of culture and I hope that you share in my passion and expand your knowledge and abilities.
